I have a custom dropdown in the editor and I can populate it server side no problem.  I was wondering...is there is a way to change the items in that dropdown via javascript?  I'm not afraid of javascript so I don't care if it's messy, I'd just like to be able to do it.

If you are using the RichDropdown it's better to populate it in the server side because there is no client side API available.

 

If you are using <select></select> tag, it's easy to write the JavaScript to populate it in the client side.
