I'm getting reports from some users of IE6 crashing when you close the browser after being the client in a chat session. The sequence of events goes something like this:
1. Open a browser, click to chat, start a chat session with an operator, converse, the close the session by closing the window
2. Browse to other pages if you so desire, but at some point close IE6. I get the following error:
ieexplore.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x1001cd11" referenced memory at "0x1001cd11". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
This only happens if you actually instantiate a chat. You can get to the request screen and not have any problems, but once you've committed to doing a chat, you're essentially doomed to having this error thrown when you close IE.
Has anyone else out there seen this problem? Any thoughts on what might be done to prevent it?
Thanks!
