Trying to drag cells to resize is just not designed well

    Adam,

Using the mouse to adjust the cell size in a table is way too difficult. Just trying to get a cell selected is a very difficult task. The mouse has to be so exactly positioned and even then its not consistent. Also, there is only one multi-direction cursor presented, so the user can't just set the width or just set the height...

Can you please use standard sizing tools so that we can adjust the width using the typical width drag (<-->) and height cursors, and make them not so sensitive (I think the standard range is +/- 5 pixels).

Tables are the only way in CE that users can format rows, so they are very, very important in document editing and currently the whole method of setting their widths and heights is just too non-intuitive and difficult.

    Thanks

    FredD,

    Please try this example again:

If it works for you, please download the latest build.

To upgrade to this new build, you need to update all files under CuteSoft_Client\CuteEditor\Scripts directory.

Re: Trying to drag cells to resize is just not designed well

    HI Adam,

Sorry, but it defies all logic. There is no consistency of selection. Sometimes the red frame and arrow show up, but then when I try to mouse over a different cell, it's impossible to select it.

3 of us here tried this and gave up in frustration.

Have you tried it yourself at http://cutesoft.net/example/general.aspx?

This is just not working. It should be that the proper arrows up/down left/right appear when you move to a cell's borders. This whole idea of a single drag is not working for a text editing/word processing environment.
