File not uploading

File not uploading

The control works well on my local machine--no problems there. However, I purchased and uploaded the temporary license to the application BIN on my domain, but I can't get the control to work.

My app has an UploaderTemp folder, and I've applied full permissions to every user.

When I attempt to upload an image, a resx file is created in UploaderTemp named

uploading.7da90ce1-534a-47e1-af48-89714f7b32f7.[myfilename].resx

BUT the file is not uploaded. As shown in image below, the file name is displayed, but the progress bar never changes, and no file size information is ever displayed. The upload process is idle.

Any ideas on where to begin troubleshooting this one?

I copied your sample page to a folder on my site. The only changes I made were references to the MasterPage, which is not in the root of the site.

I am running Framework 3.5, and IIS6. Any advice is much appreciated, since I've exhausted every idea I've had Thanks.

Can you save the following code as an ASPx page and run it on your server?

The code you provided works fine. However, if I wrap it in a minimal Master page with nothing more than a simple ContentPlaceholder, ONLY 50-75% of the upload is performed, then the process hangs. I tried both the MS Ajax version, and the No Ajax version of the control. Does the control work with Master Pages?

I modify your code to use the MasterPage like

<asp:Content ID="content1" runat="server" ContentPlaceHolderID="ContentPlaceHolder1">

     <CuteWebUI:Uploader runat="server" ID="uploader" OnFileUploaded="file_uploaded" >
     </CuteWebUI:Uploader>

</asp:Content>

1. This control works with maste pages.

2. In the download package, there are some advanced example projects. These projects use the maste pages. Please check the source code of examples.
