Max File Size?

Greetings,

The problem I've having is that no matter what I do, it restricts the max file size to whatever the default is when uploading multiple files using the UploadAttachments object.

I've tried changing the Validation Options as an inline property in the html/asp.net tag, adding the <ValidationOptions MaxSizeKB="whatever"/> tag instead the UploadAttachments tag and setting it programmatically. The funny thing is that when it displays the popup telling me the file is to large to upload, it gives the proper maximum size. Also, I've set the max request in the web.config file to the max 2097151 setting.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That worked just fine. But, like I said, I'm having problems with the UploadAttachments control.

Also, and unrelated to the problem above, do these controls take over the page form in some manner?

I'm trying to add the Uploader control programmatically (which I know works fine as I've tested that in an isolated environment) to an existing website which manages page content (and the page form) on it's own programmatically (on the fly).

Keith,

Hi,

MaxSizeKB is a property that be used for restricting the file size. If you do not want to limit the file size , please do not set it.

And MaxSizeKB do not mean your server ability when you set it larger.

If the uploader report file is too large , maybe because ASP.NET restrict it.

You can add the control dynamically . for example , you can put it into DataGrid templates.

Thanks for your response. But, honestly, I can't understand anything you're trying to say.

1. I WANT to use MaxSizeKB. I just want to set it to a value other then the default. And, when using the UploadAttachments control, it seems to disregard all ways in which to set this value.

2. I have no idea what you're trying to say about server ability.

3. What is an "uploader report file"?

4. I'm aware you can add the control dynamically, I am doing so. My question is whether the Uploader control takes over the form object in some manner, as I'm having problems that seem to stem from this.

Keith:

I noticed that if I put MaxSizeKB="1024", I get a javascript error. However, if I put in anything else it works fine. Would you be able to change the validate option on your demo to 1024 (1mb) from 10240 (10mb) and then test this issue?

I get a task is not defined error

This issue is also be fixed. Please download the control again.
