Upload excel file of extension .xlsx

I tried the trial version of ajax uploader. I am facing the problem in uploading the excel file of extension .xlsx.

I just did test with excel file of extension .xlsx. It works for me.

I have a form that contains the functionality of uploading multiple excelsheets(office 2007 with extension .xlsx) that contains purchaseorder data.

It was working fine for uploading a excel sheet with file upload control in dotnet. As I need to upload multiple excelsheets I have used ajax uploader in place of fileupload control. It is working fine in uploading multiple excel sheets if the extension is .xls but it is giving problem if the excel sheets contain the extension of .xlsx.

What kind of the problem is?

Can you post the error message?

This is the error thrown when i upload a file with extension .xlsx

The Microsoft Office Access database engine could not find the object '_xlnm.Print_AreaA6:A10'. Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name and the path name correctly.

I still have no clue with your issue.

Please answer the following questions:

1. Can uploader upload a file with extension .xlsx successfully on your server?

2. Can uploader upload a file with extension .xlsx successfully on the following example?

3. Do you mean it uploads the wrong data?

4. Do you mean Office cannot open the file after upload?

1) yes, but we are unable to read the data from the file.

2) No

3) No

4) No, we are unable to read the data from the uploaded file.

5) The file size is ok. It is just 45kb

I've changed the validation rule and now it allows .xlsx file.

We did some tests. It works perfectly.

Files are uploaded successfully.

File size of the uploaded files doesn't change.

The files can be open without losting any data.
