For some of our customers, when they are in a live support session with one of our agents, a small map icon shows up in the agents chat interface. The customer does not see the map. The map tends to be for the area that the customer is in.

 

Is this a feature that can be disabled?

As long as the user has a public IP address,  Cute Live Supports will show google map when it is able to get the location of the user. 

Please open LiveSupport.exe.config and set <add key="GoogleMapKey" value="" />. It will hide google map.
