I'd like to know the difference between my current build (6.6, 2010-04-09) and the latest build, to see if we should update to the latest build. Is there a central place with this information..?

Clearly you makes changes to the 6.6 vesion  and there is no 6.6.1.0 and 6.6.1.1 and so on it would be nice to know what is mended in the defferent versions.

 

Mabye Adam could explain the difference between - and . in his last two posts. The information is a bit thin....

 

 

 

That is just my point. In that thread Adam indirectly says that no changes has been made to version 6.6 since 12-09-2010 is this really true?

 

And what about the Classic ASP -version?

I agree it would be great to get details when a new version is released. In fact I mentioned this idea in June of 2010.

 

l was able to get a few details from time to time but I had to ask for it here, here, here, here and here. It would be some much more convenient if we got notes with each release.

The more details we get about the versions the less support questions CuteSoft will get. Mabye they think that is a bad thing???

We updated the control recently to fix a few IE9 issues.

 

It caused the confusions before we didn't update the change log.

 

 

For the AssemblyVersion issue, if we change AssemblyVersion from 6.6 to 6.6.1, it's easy for developers to know the current version. However, when you deploy the CuteEditor.dll , you must re-compile your applications , and copy all dlls to the product server.

 

We know there are still many developers prefer using the version number approach. But we think using build numbers would complicate/slow down the update process.
