    http error1 :403:forbidden

    Hi,

We are getting this issue when we try to upload  files that have parenthesis in the name e.g. file(1).jpg.  It works perfectly for all other files.  we have done some investigating and found that it works on IIS6 but not on IIS7 which is unfortunately what the server is running on.

The file looks to upload but when it reaches 100% we receive the following error in a popup:

     Windows Server 2008 SP2

     IIS7 (7.0.6000.16386)

    Hi StevenDowse,

It works fine on my end. I have tried on IIS7 wiht .net 2.0/3.5/4.0 application pool. none of them get error with file name "file(1).txt".

Is your site online? If so, can you post your uploader page url here? So we can check it for you directly.

Also, you can send it to [email protected]

By the way, do you get the same problem with the example page below?

    1. <%@ Page Language="C#" Title="Customize the queue UI" %>
    2.
    3. <%@ Register TagPrefix="CuteWebUI" Namespace="CuteWebUI" Assembly="CuteWebUI.AjaxUploader" %>
    4. <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Frameset//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-frameset.dtd">
    5.
    6.
    7. <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    8. <head id="Head1" runat="server">
    9. </head>
    10. <body>
    11.     <form id="Form1" runat="server">
    12.         <CuteWebUI:UploadAttachments ID="uploader1" runat="server">
    13.         </CuteWebUI:UploadAttachments>
    14.     </form>
    15. </body>
    16. </html>

    Regards,

    Thanks Kenneth,

This helped me narrow down the problem, turns out UrlScan was active at the site level and was blocking the brackets as part of its SQL Injection rule.  A quick whitelist of the uploader pages and it was fine.
