Anchors seem to work fine the first time you put them into a page, however if you go back into that html and edit it without resetting the anchors, they will not work (i.e. it puts the full url in front of the anchoe without the page and therefore it does not work)

sorry not i cannot reprouce.

I have the latest version, the problem comes after re-populating the control with text from the database with anchors in.

Just so you have a little more information its this tag that does not work:

In the database it appears as

I have had the same problem and it appears to happen with any kind of link that is a type of "Other". If the url for your editor location is www.something.com/editor.aspx and you set up a link to Top (to use the existing example). It will render as <a href="#top">Top</a> just like it should, but if you go back and try to modify the link it will change to <a href="www.something.com/editor.aspx#top">Top</a>. It seems to want to automatically plug in the page that the editor is on instead of the url/name of the page that is being edited, I have also seen it happen on relative links too. Hope this helps.

Was that the version that was released in late July? If it was 4.5.0.1, then Yes. Is there a file that I can look at to confirm the version? I followed the link that you provided and when you go back to edit the linked item it does show a type of http:// instead of other and shows the full path instead of just #top in the text field. It did not have the full path in the <a> tag though when I pressed submit.

The version released in july is the version 4.5.0.1.

Can you just download the control again and update the dll and client files? I don't have any better idea now.

I downloaded the latest version, but I am still seeing the problem. It is like the editor sees them as relative and wants to add the current url to the link. This is a problem because I save the pages to a database and then pull them out to display based on an ado query. All of my links are pointing back to the page that the editor is on not the page that should be displaying.

Here is the configuration:

I was able to get around this issue in code by grabbing the url and removeing it before saving the content to the database. It is a work around, but it works.

This issue has been resolved in the version 5.0 which will be released soon.
