Hi Adam,
We were in the process of purchasing the IM but we noticed that the window "focus" situation would be a problem.
This is the situation:
Issue 1
2 windows open when you are online and writing to someone -
* 1 window is the window to the person you are writing to.
* The other window is the main window with all the contacts online info etc.
When I say "focus" I mean the window which becomes dominant over the others.
This what happens -
Focus problem 1 - I'm writing a message to "user1". The IM main window will sometimes pop up and take away the focus from the window I was writing in and cut me from continuing my message. This is annoying, because I now have to select the window I was writing in again to continue writing where I left off.
Focus problem 2 - I'm writing a message to "user1" and another user (user2) sends a message to me. The window with the "new" message from "user2" interrupts my writing to the "user1". In other words, any new messages, once submitted automatically dominates other windows. Again, I have to select the window (user1's window) so I can continue writing the message.
The "ideal operation" for these windows should be based on the user "selecting" which window he/she wants to use. All other windows should remain in the background or minimized until they are selected to be the active window.

Issue 2
Our website is growing very rapidly and this will be a great addition for our site. But with the messenger being available for all users, it is quite possible that one online user may have 1000+ other users sending him / her messages at the same time.
This would be the situation because the user has no control over who sends him a message or not.
PROBLEM! - Anyone can be added to someone's list and the "added user" is helpless to avoid being sent all these messages.
The thing is that there is no -
*user1 has requested that you be added to his contact list - accept request / deny request*
type message / option, for the intended "added user" to choose if he / she wants to be on that person's contact list.
Think of trying to control 300+ messages at once and this can very well be the case because there are no controls.
--------------------
Hopefully you can find a solution to these problems.
Thanks,
Sheldon.
By the way, to everyone else reading this, the Cute Messenger is the best Messenger out there. We very much want to buy and will still do so, but we're just clearing up these 2 important issues first.
