Image Upload not working on a Mac client

Hi,

I have CuteEdit 6.3 up and working, and images upload fine when running from my PC. Unfortunately, the user is running a Mac and when they try and upload using Safari or FireFox, they get an unusual error:

Error,http,302

I have no idea on what this problem is or how to even start looking for a resolution.

Help!

Can you ask your clients try this example?

I just tried this example using Safari 3 on Vista. It works.

We will try this example using Safari on mac later.

Hi Adam,

Thanks for the quick response. They can use the example, so it must be a configuration issue on the server; unfortunately I just have no idea where.

Any ideas on where I can begin looking?

I think the problem maybe caused by an earlier build. Can you download the control again and run the examples included in the download package?

Hi Adam,

I downloaded and installed the latest version just minutes before writing that post; unfortunately it made no difference.

Any other thoughts?

This example is same as the download package.

Have you tried the examples included in the download package?

When upgrading have you replaced the DLL and client files?

Hi Adam,

I've copied the sample code into a new subdirectory on the webserver, with a new copy of the cutesoft_client, new binaries, and a new copy of example.css

As before, it works perfectly on my PC - both on IE and FF.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work on the client's Mac on Safari or FireFox; gives exactly exactly the same error. Yet they can still upload fine to the sample URL you've sent through.

Of interest, are you using Flash to do the upload?

Hi,

Do your web.config installed the httpModules UploadModule ?

Something like this ?

If no , please try it.

Hi Terry,

Thanks soooooo much; it worked!

I didn't put that in, as I didn't want the client to upload large files (as per the docs). Because file upload worked fine on the PC without it, I hadn't given it another thought.

Thanks again, that's a huge weight off my shoulders.
