Simple Upload not working in IE7

I am trying to evaluate the Uploader abut am unable to get the simple upload sample working locally in IE7. I have gotten it to work in Google Chrome however. When attempting the upload, i get a login screen followed by an error message which reads

Error,http,401

I took screenshots of both but were unable to attach them to this post. The online samples work fine. I would be willing to do a live meeting to figure out the problem if that helps.

Can you try the following code in IE 7.0?

Please check your IIS setting. Did you turn off the anonymous access?

anonymous access is enabled. I was thinkign the problem was access the to Temp directory it initially uploads the file to, but that does not explaing why it works in other browsers

have you granted ASPNET account or network service account write permission to the the temp folder of ajax uploader?

what is the default temp directory for ajax uploaded? I tried modifying the rights for c:windows\temp but that did not do it

ok..i added the following to the web.config to set the TempDirectory

I then went in to this directory and gave ASPNET and the network service full access can i still get the error message. It's still puzzling that it all works fine in other browsers.
