I'm using the CuteEditor with a modified version of DNN1.0.9.  We have many portals in the system.  The types of portals we host are as follows:

 

root portal, only one of these:  rootportal.com

child portals of the root portal: rootportal.com/child

domain portals: anynumberofdomains.com

domain child portals: anynumberofdomains.com/child

 

Whenever an administrator of a domain child portal (anynumberofdomains.com/child) is logged in they have the following issue:

 

If they open the CuteEditor for editing AND click on any function that opens a pop-up dialog (Insert Image, Insert Flash, etc.) they are unable to Update their changes.  They are instead redirected to the standard "Edit Access Denied" page.  It appears from my investigation of the problem that the HttpContext is somehow lost when a pop-up dialog is launched from the CuteEditor.  Note that if none of the pop-up dialogs are launched, then editing can be successfully completed.  I'd be happy to provide more details if needed.  But first, I'd like to see if anyone has run into this problem or something similar.... Anyone??

It's a DNN bug.

Perhaps you didnt notice that I am using DNN 1.0.9, not DNN3.  Is there a fix for 1.0.9 too?  The CuteEditor for DNN download is for versions 2 and 3 only.

That does not resolve the issue.  You can see for yourself if you add a child portal to dnn1.cutesoft.net, login as the child portal admin, add a text/html module to a page, click Edit on the module, insert an image, click update.

 

This is a major problem for my business.  Anything you can do to help resolve it will be greatly appreciated.

The DNN_arg property is designed to resolve this DNN bug.

 

It works well for the version 2.X and 3.X.

This is same bug which exists in the dotnetnuke 1.x, dotnetnuke 2.x and dotnetnuke 3.x.

 

CuteEditor resolved this bug by passing the portal id to Editor.DNN_arg property.

You can use the same approach to resolve this problem.

After you make changes, make sure you recompile your project.
