Delay differences depending on view - table problem

In mostly cases the typing delays are solved in the last version - thanks!. But try to edit this or other tables (copied from a doc-file or not ...): Edit a cell and than go to another cell. Massive typing delays are not always but often the result. We tested this with IE 7 and Firefox 2, both have similar delays, tested in our Application and tested in your Demo-Page.

Re: Delay differences depending on view - table problem

I thoroughly tested your example both in IE and FF, online and offline versions, with no problems (except for the normal brief cache updating of FireFox).

Can you post the actual HTML and I will test it in general.aspx...

Re: Delay differences depending on view - table problem

Simply copy the html direct from my topic in the general.aspx (we do it so). Using IE7 (on XP) the effects are in coming after 10 - 30 entrys in table cells with hopping from cell to cell, always with entries in each cells.

Re: Delay differences depending on view - table problem

Did all that and still no problem. (Running IE7 and FF on XP Pro) In IE, pressing Page Up and Page Down then clicking into a cell exhibits a slight delay before typing displays, but no other problems experienced. That problem doesn't show in FF.

Copying the table content from the message you wrote doesn't provide the full HTML. That's why I said you should post your HTML so that we can do a true test by posting the exact HTML into the HTML of my editor.

Or, post a URL that we can test against.

Otherwise -- sorry, but I can't duplicate your issue either in general.aspx or in our own online versions.

Please look in your private messages of this forum! The test-Data are copied in the templates of the demo on the cutesoft-website named "editor_mustertext.txt".

Re: Delay differences depending on view - table problem

    Hi

    Had a play....

I experienced delays. Basically I typed into one cell, then clicked onto another cell. I had to wait approx 6 seconds before I could type. This happened consistently everytime I clicked on another cell after typing. If i just move between cells without typing, it looks like I can type straight away, cos the cursor is flashing.

Are these the delays you are experiencing?

The only thing I can say is that this file is 380K, which is rather a large web page. If all the styling was removed off each table cell and changed to CSS, I am sure this would speed up. However I dont know the history of the page etc......

I am guessing the editor is parsing the HTML during these delays. However only cutesoft can really say whats going on.
