I am having this trouble of slowness and it happened when the rich text editor came up here where I am typing. The editor takes a long time for menus to load and the text typing is very slow to respond as are the drop down menus.

I may try the cute editor here for comparison. I have it loaded on several sites and it is much more responsive. I have tried with MS IE 8 on XP, Firefox, and Google Chrome and having the same slow issue.

I am going to get a new wireless card and try the vista (yuk) comp and MS IE 9. I used it yesterday for access an SAP form I could not get to work on the XP machine, but the antenna is broken off and it has a weak signal and I can't get it to reconnect today.

Is is possible my new cable modem / wireless router N  (instead of the old Wireless G) could be the issue?
