I found a workaround for this - if anyone else is interested. Rather than inserting an image, I insert a hyperlink, then convert it to plaintext when I post it to the database. That way I just get the relative URL to the image to put in the database without the surrounding tag. The client still gets to browse through the uploads folder to her image. Doug
