I want to purchase CuteEditor 6.0 and thought i would try the evaluation version first.  I downloaded the software and Developer Guide, created a new VB project, copied all the files.  I was able to run the project after converted all C# code to VB.  It's ok if i just type text and change font, but when i tried to Insert Image or Document or Flash, ect..  I got this error:

BC30456: 'hiddenAction_ServerChange' is not a member of 'ASP.InsertImage_aspx' (or InsertFlash, InsertDocument)

 

Am I missing something? or what do I need to do to fix this error.  I can ask my boss to buy the product if I can't even make it work with the trial version.  Please help.

Can you check your project?

 

Maybe VS created some code-behind pages when you import the client files into your project.

Yes, when i built the project the first time, it did generate some code-behind pages.  I look in InsertImage.aspx code and see this line:

 

input type="hidden" runat="server" enableviewstate="false" id="hiddenAction" onserverchange="hiddenAction_ServerChange" name="hiddenAction"

 

but I can't find the function "hiddenAction_ServerChange" anywhere in the project code.  Please advice.

You should not do that. Please just copy the DLLs and client files to your project. Don't try to convert the files.

I downloaded CuteEditor again, created new project, copied the files and everything is working this time.
