    Preview in new browser window?

I seem to recall you have provided this option - am I right? Can the Preview button open a new full-size window? Thanks, Nick.

In the new version, we have a full editing window. It does not open a new window, instead it will resize to fit the browser screen. Edit in full screen mode, maximizing your available space.

Is that good enough for you?

Unfortunately not what I was looking for Adam, No. If you take a look at eBay's text editor, the preview button opens a new resizable window. Is there any way the preview button can open a full size window and after clicking the edit button, it reverts to normal size once again?? That would be OK? thanks, Nick.

I have to ask: why would you want to?

Well, one thing that immediately pops to mind is the fact that now I've got to clutter up my form with text, explaining to the users that if they wish to view in full screen mode, they should press F12 and to return to normal screen mode, press F12 again. This is hardly the way to go. Surely, Preview by default should open up in full screen mode or at least have a 'View Full Screen' button alongside Preview???? Some users are bound to press F12 and get into Full Screen Mode and then forget how to get back again?? We're dealing with all sorts of visitors you know, both young and old and intelligent and dim and the developers aim is to make life easy. That's probably why eBay preview in a window! Nick.

Re: Preview in new browser window?

Yes, but preview is pretty much pointless now as you can edit your text in full screen mode anyway...

Just click the third button on the toolbar and you are in full screen mode.

IMO, a WYSIWYG editor pretty much defeats the point in having a preview option as you're already seeing pretty much what you'll get anyway - Hence the name!

Additionally, I don't see why previewing in full screen is so important since when viewing the page live, there's rarely going to be *nothing* else on the page anyway, so why would you want to preview it that way???

The only real advantage of full screen, in whatever mode, is the ability to see more of youu content at once, which the fullscreen editing feature (as described before) does anyway...

Whatever floats your boat I guess.  ;=)
