Does Domain license works for subdomains?

Quote
I would like to purchase a domain license for
mydomain.com
Will it work for:
members.mydomain.com &
mydomain.com &
www.mydomain.com
I've searched through the forum and there are two different answers
One said that I can buy a domain license and send all the subdomain I need for you guys to create a custom domain license
"The domain license works this way: if the site name included in the license file, it works. Otherwise, it will show en error.
To get all your sub-domains work, you need to mail the sub-domain names to us, we will create the license file based on the info your provide.A domain license allows you use the editor in main domain and one sub-domain.
"
Another said that I have to buy a license for each subdomain.
"Subdomains are counted as domains for domain based license type, such as domain license and small business license. You'll have to get seperate license for every subdomain you may need. For example, in your case, you'll need license for box. test.mydomain.ca and prodn.mydomain.ca.
These 2 subdomains sound temporary. If you only need them for developing or testing purposes, we can give you a 3-month temp license so you don't have to pay for them. Longer than 3 months, you would have to consider getting them permanent license.
Do you like to change your designated domain from mydomain.ca to *.mydomain.ca or upgrade to small business "
Which one is correct? which one is true?
