I've read the posts on granting ASP.NET rights to write to a file. However, I'm still at a standstill. I'm working with the editHtml.aspx example (vb flavor) and when I try to save my edits with the editor I get:

Exception Details: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path "E:\web\users\mnmaao.org\frustrated\vb\document.htm" is denied.
ASP.NET is not authorized to access the requested resource. Consider granting access rights to the resource to the ASP.NET request identity. ASP.NET has a base process identity (typically {MACHINE}\ASPNET on IIS 5 or Network Service on IIS 6) that is used if the application is not impersonating. If the application is impersonating via <identity impersonate="true"/>, the identity will be the anonymous user (typically IUSR_MACHINENAME) or the authenticated request user.
To grant ASP.NET write access to a file, right-click the file in Explorer, choose "Properties" and select the Security tab. Click "Add" to add the appropriate user or group. Highlight the ASP.NET account, and check the boxes for the desired access.
Before I get flamed, I've done my homework. I have no idea what's wrong. Permissions to "E:\web\users...document.htm" are WIDE OPEN. ASP.NET has full control and I'm still getting this.
For those who reply (thank you in advance), please be aware that I need baby steps on how to fix this. No assumptions can be made because I'm a vendor without Admin rights on this W2k3 Server. The steps you give me will be given to the sys admin. That's why I'm requesting step-by-step instruction on how to give ASP.NET what it needs.
