I'd like to add several more predesigned table layouts in the Table Wizard. Can I do that in code-behind? For example, you have one-column table, two column table, etc. I need to add many more, but I don't want to do it in any of the config files because those are frequently replaced when you create a new version of CE and we download it.

 

Is there some way to do it in code-behind?

 

I've seen http://cutesoft.net/forums/post/13506.aspx, but it requires modification to the actual aspx and if you change that in a future release, we're screwed.

You can use code-behind file. But you also need to modify the actual tag_inserttable.ascx file. I suggest you create a separate backup folder and copy all your customized files to that folder. After you update the client files, copy your own files.

Please follow the steps below:

 

1. Open CuteSoft_Client\CuteEditor\Dialogs\Tag\tag_inserttable.ascx and replace:

 

<%@ Control Inherits="CuteEditor.EditorUtilityCtrl" Language="c#" AutoEventWireup="false" TargetSchema="http://schemas.microsoft.com/intellisense/ie5" %>

With

 

<%@ Control src="MyTable.VB" Language="VB" AutoEventWireup="false" TargetSchema="http://schemas.microsoft.com/intellisense/ie5" %>

 

 

2. In line 44, paste the following code:

 

<asp:Literal ID="Literal1" Runat="server" />

 

3. In MyTable.VB, wrtie your own code and populate the result to Literal1 control.
