I have set up my inline styles for an email input form, but I would like to change the tag used from "span" to "p" tags.

 

Does anybody know where I can achieve this? Your help would be amazing!

Span tags are inline style tags. P tags are block level tags.

 

I don't think it makes sense to change all span tags to P tags.

Normally (and it should be like this) I agree, but becuase email clients are poor at supporting quality CSS code, the style has be applied inline, and span tags don't always react well with margin and padding - even when set to display:block

 

The idea of making them to p tags ensures that my layouts don't fall apart in Outlook etc.

I suggest you create your own HTML filter and convert span tags to p tags.
