    differences between licenses

    Hi,
we are a company based in Milan and we'are developing a web application.
We want to integrate AjaxUploader as part of our application but we didn't understand what's best license profile for us.
We should manage, to start, 7 different domains (at least).
We guess the best would be Small Business License but what's the difference between this one and the others?
If we buy the Redistribution License do we still need to buy licenses for every single domain we'll install our web application?

help on this would be appreciated!

    Thank you

    Re: differences between licenses

    Hi Simone,

A Domain license $99allows the control to run on 1 domain/subdomain name, ie http://news.domain.com or http://intranet or http://192.168.0.1

A Small Business License $299 allows 10 such names

An IP license $199enables all the domains/subdomains hosted on this IP@ to use the control.

All license options are good for http://localhost.

Above are the basic license options. Now let's check out bigger ones.

This Redistribution License $399 allows AjaxUploader Control to be distributed within a single commercial application. It also entitles unlimited number of developers within the company to install and use the product for that single commercial application development (for 1 application only).

Redistribution license is designed for a business that has 1 standard product to sell. If you have multiple products or want to use AjaxUploader to build some customer sites outside the standard product, then for each such case, you will need 1 Redistribution license. For example if you get a Redistribution license for your Online Email system, then you will need a 2nd Redistribution license for your Forum product, and a 3rd Redistribution license for customizing a site using AjaxUploader outside Forum and Online Email.

For multiple product case, Enterprise License is a better choice. Enterprise License $999= unlimited Redistribution

    Re: differences between licenses

    Dear customer,

When the order comes in, you will be given 1 3-month temp license to cover the transactional period. If 3 months is not long enough, we could extend it for one more time for another 3 months. Then it's the time to register your IP@. Once registered, change of IP is not free. Depends on how soon you change it, fees varies. Basically the later it changes, the more fees it applies.

If you don't have control over the IP@ and it changes frequently, IP license may not be a good idea. You could consider Small Business License as an alternative.
    Thanks for asking
