1. Add document versions

Original files on the left, revised files on the right. Files are paired by row, so check the order before comparing.

1–10 pairs, 2 MB per file, 300 paragraphs, 10 tables and 30,000 text characters per document. Expanded DOCX up to 20 MB. DOCX only; no DOC or DOCM.

Comparing uploads each pair to our server for processing. Source files are processed in memory, not intentionally stored. Do not upload confidential documents unless this processing is acceptable. Preparing checkout stores the finished redline package for 30 days.

Supported scope and limitations

Body text and tables only. This release rejects existing tracked changes, comments, footnotes/endnotes, fields, images, text boxes, content controls, protection, embedded objects and macros. Headers and footers must be identical. Formatting, pagination, numbering and layout changes are not comprehensively reported. Review the redline in Word before relying on it.

Paragraph locations are indices in the generated main document, including table-cell paragraphs; they are not page numbers. Revision counts refer to XML revision elements, not independent edits or words. Verification checks main-document paragraph text after accepting and rejecting revisions. It does not prove visual or semantic equivalence.

Pair before comparing

Use visible filenames and the revised-file selector on each row to correct a match. A document is never silently paired with a different version.

Check both directions

The server accepts and rejects the generated revisions and compares the resulting paragraph text with both inputs. A failed verification blocks export.

Share a useful handover

Tracked changes stay in the Word files. The batch summary includes pair names, paragraph locations, insertion/deletion text and table flags.
