“Enabled” is a library flag. This page does not install or activate skills inside an agent. Export the file and follow your agent’s installation instructions. Back up your library: clearing browser data removes local skills.

Manage reusable AI instructions locally

An AI skill is a reusable set of instructions that helps an agent approach a particular task. A code review skill might describe what to inspect, how to report defects, and which checks to run. A writing skill might define tone, structure, and editorial requirements. Keeping those instructions in a searchable library makes it easier to reuse and improve them across projects.

RichScripts AI Skill Manager organizes these instructions in your browser. Start with an included template or create a new skill, give it a descriptive name, assign a category, and edit its Markdown content. Search looks through names, descriptions, categories, and instructions. Enabled and disabled flags let you organize your library without deleting useful drafts. Those flags affect this library only; they do not change an external agent’s configuration.

Each saved skill can be exported as a SKILL.md file with name and description metadata. Agent conventions vary, so review your target agent’s required folder structure, supported metadata, and installation process before using an exported file. The manager stores text and does not run the instructions, invoke tools, install packages, or call a language model.

Use Export library to download a JSON backup containing saved skills. Import skills accepts a pasted JSON backup or a single Markdown skill with simple name and description metadata. JSON imports validate the complete collection and add copies with new identifiers. It never silently replaces existing skills. Select visible records for bulk library flags or deletion. ZIP export packages selected skills, or the whole library when none are selected, into separate skill folders with a JSON backup. Save edits before exporting a full library: unsaved drafts stay in the editor until saved or discarded. Individual Markdown export uses the current editor content after validation.

Your skill data stays in localStorage for this browser and site. There is no account, server synchronization, or model API charge. Storage is not encrypted, and other scripts on the same site may access it. Avoid putting passwords or API keys in skills. Private browsing, browser cleanup, or a different device can remove or hide the library, so keep regular downloaded backups. If browser storage is unavailable, the manager warns you and keeps the current session in memory.

Will this enable skills in my AI agent?

No. Library flags are local organization settings. Export SKILL.md and install it using your agent’s documented workflow.

Does importing a backup overwrite existing skills?

No. Valid imports add copies with new IDs. The manager supports up to 100 saved skills and 50,000 instruction characters per skill.

Does it generate instructions using AI?

No. This release is a local editor and organizer. It does not call AI providers or incur model API fees.
