How this tool works

Choose two units of the same type: volume, mass or temperature. The tool distinguishes a US customary cup from a 250 millilitre metric cup. Tablespoons and teaspoons here use US customary definitions. Ounces measure mass, while US fluid ounces measure volume. Converting cups of flour into grams requires the ingredient’s density and packing method, so cross-type conversions are deliberately rejected. Temperature supports Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin. Rounded results are suitable for comparison, while kitchen measuring techniques introduce additional variation.
