Questions

Which deadlines are included?

GST/HST returns, payments and instalments; payroll remittances for every remitter type; T4, T4A, T5 and T5018 slips; T2 corporate returns, balance-due days and instalments; T1 dates and instalments for sole proprietors; federal, Ontario and BC corporate annual returns; the Ontario Employer Health Tax return; BC PST, Saskatchewan PST and Manitoba RST returns; and in Quebec the combined GST/HST and QST return, Revenu Québec remittances, RL-1 slips and the CO-17 return.

When are BC, Saskatchewan and Manitoba PST returns due?

BC PST is due the last day of the month after each reporting period. Saskatchewan PST is due the last day of the next month when you file online, or the 20th on paper. Manitoba RST is due the 20th of the month after the period; annual filers by January 20.

What does a Quebec business file with Revenu Québec?

The combined GST/HST and QST return, on the same dates as GST/HST elsewhere; Quebec source deductions and contributions at the frequency Revenu Québec assigns; RL-1 slips by the last day of February; and for corporations the CO-17 return six months after year end, with the balance due in two months.

What happens when a due date falls on a weekend or holiday?

CRA and Revenu Québec accept it on the next business day; provincial sales tax returns move past that province's own holidays. The calendar shows that date and notes the legal date it moved from.

What is not covered yet?

Workers' compensation premiums (WSIB, WorkSafeBC, WCB, CNESST), municipal taxes, and Quebec's enterprise register update for sole proprietors. The calendar tells you when one of these applies to you.

Is my information private?

The free calendar is calculated on our server and nothing is stored. Accounts keep your business answers, checklist ticks and documents so reminders can work; you can delete your account and everything in it at any time.

Is this tax advice?

No. It tells you when things are due and what is usually needed, based on CRA's published rules. Your accountant and CRA have the final word on your situation.
