How this tool works

Uppercase and lowercase retain punctuation. Title case capitalizes the first letter of each word; it does not apply editorial headline rules. Identifier styles split camelCase and acronyms, remove punctuation, and join words. Unicode letters and numbers are supported; the result is not guaranteed to be a valid identifier in every programming language.

What is the difference between title case and capitalised words?

Capitalising every word turns “a tale of two cities” into “A Tale Of Two Cities”. Title case keeps short articles, conjunctions and prepositions lowercase unless they open the line, giving “A Tale of Two Cities”.

When should I use camelCase, snake_case or kebab-case?

Follow the convention of wherever the text is going: camelCase for JavaScript and Java identifiers, snake_case for Python and most SQL columns, kebab-case for URLs, CSS class names and file names. Mixing them inside one codebase causes more friction than any of the choices itself.

Are accents and non-English text preserved?

Yes. Case changes follow Unicode rules, so é becomes É rather than being stripped. The programmer formats replace separators with the chosen delimiter but leave letters intact.
