Good to know

Made in your browser

Codes are generated locally; nothing about your network or contact is uploaded.

The scanner never acts on a code

Decoding an uploaded image shows the contents. It never opens a link or joins a network by itself.

vCard 3.0 for contacts

Widely supported by phone address books.

Logos need testing

A logo sits in the centre with high error correction. Always scan the finished code with a real phone before printing it.

Common uses

  • A guest WiFi card for a kitchen or reception desk
  • A link on a poster or flyer
  • Contact details on a business card
  • A menu or price list link for a table tent
  • Checking what an unfamiliar QR code contains, safely

Questions

How do I make a WiFi QR code?

Choose WiFi, enter the network name, password and security type, then download the image. Phone cameras offer to join the network when they scan it.

Is my WiFi password sent anywhere?

No. The code is created in your browser. The password is inside the QR image, so treat the picture itself as sensitive.

Will a logo stop the code from scanning?

It can if it covers too much. A small central logo with high error correction usually works, but test the printed size on a phone.

Can I check a QR code I received?

Yes. Upload the image and the contents are shown as text. Nothing is opened or connected automatically.

Good to know

Processing stays in your browser. The scanner reads uploaded images; it never automatically opens links or connects to WiFi. Contact codes use vCard 3.0. Logos use a small central overlay and high error correction; scan reliability depends on the content and print quality.
