Start with the website

Open RichFax in Safari on your iPhone or iPad. These instructions use the website; they do not require an App Store download. Have the receiving office’s current fax number and an email address you can verify.

Sending supports Canada and the US. The subtotal is US$2.99 for the first five document pages, then US$0.30 per extra page, with applicable tax added at checkout. Preparation and the optional RichFax cover are free. A free, verified account is required before payment; there is no sending subscription.

Choose a saved PDF or scan paper

  1. Use a file you already have

Tap browse files in Add your documents and select a PDF, JPG or PNG from the available file picker. A cloud file may need to finish downloading before you can select it. Save an email attachment as a file first; a sharing link is not the document itself.

  2. Photograph a paper page

Tap Scan a document, then Take a photo or choose an image. Available camera and photo-picker choices depend on your device and browser. Place the paper flat, keep all edges in view and avoid shadows or glare.

  3. Inspect and add the scan

Use the edge sliders to crop, Rotate 90° to make the page upright, and the Black & white option when it improves readability. Tap Add this page to fax. Repeat for more pages; close the scanner when finished. Check small text and signatures after enhancement.

  4. Arrange the whole document

Tap Review & arrange pages to move, rotate or remove individual pages. Undo restores recent changes. RichFax accepts up to 50 document pages and 20 MB of source files; the prepared PDF must also fit the 20 MB limit.

Preview before opening checkout

Choose the destination and enter the full area code and fax number. Add an optional free cover, then tap Review your fax → Preview every page, including the cover. Check every page with Previous and Next. You can also download the prepared PDF to your own viewer. Preparing, previewing and downloading do not send it.

Continue to secure checkout when the file and number are correct. Sign in and verify your account email if needed; Stripe Checkout shows tax and the final total before payment. Keep the preparation tab open while reading the verification email. Reloading or closing it can lose documents that are only held in that page.

Keep a home-screen shortcut

In Safari, open the Share menu (from the Page Menu or toolbar, depending on your layout), choose Add to Home Screen, turn on Open as Web App if offered, then Add. Apple’s current instructions explain layout differences. This opens the website from an icon; RichFax currently uses email and account status for updates, rather than promising native push notifications.

If a file or message is missing

  • HEIC or another unsupported photo format: export a JPG/PNG or an unencrypted PDF before importing. Inspect the converted file.
  • Camera option unavailable: select an existing supported photo, scan in another app and save a PDF, or use the file picker.
  • Verification email missing: follow the email guide. Do not share a password or verification code with support.
  • Payment made but no final result: check the existing order in My workspace → My faxes. Do not pay for another send while the result is uncertain.

Download the transmission report when available. Delivered means fax-service acceptance of all transmitted pages, not human reading or approval. For assigned receiving access, use the website’s Inbox.
