What you can do free in RichFax

Local preparation and downloading do not send a fax. You can prepare in the website before signing in; a verified account email is required before paying for transmission. The Android app is free to download, with sending charged separately.

What sending costs

A RichFax fax starts at US$2.99 for up to five document pages, plus applicable tax shown at checkout. Each additional document page adds US$0.30, up to 50 document pages. The optional generated RichFax cover is free; a cover already included in your uploaded PDF counts as a document page. There is no sending subscription or automatic renewal. Standalone PDF tools have their own verification and pricing. A free cover download or free preparation step does not include transmission, and a separate tool payment does not pay for a fax.

Free send, free trial and free app are different

  • Free send: a limited transmission allowance can be used without buying a plan, subject to that provider’s rules.
  • Free trial: check whether a card is required, when billing begins and how cancellation works.
  • Free app: downloading an app does not imply free fax sending or a receiving number.
  • Prepaid credit: a no-monthly-fee credit pack still requires payment and may have its own balance rules.

Choose based on your document, not the word “free”

A short document may fit a free allowance. More pages, a delivery report, saved contacts, page preparation or ongoing receiving can change the comparison. RichFax is not always the lowest-cost option. Avoid splitting a complete document into several faxes merely to fit a limit unless the receiving office agrees.

Before any send, verify the recipient’s fax number, inspect every page and check the final terms and cost. After sending, save the report and follow up with the recipient if you need confirmation that someone processed it.
